I will overwhelm 'serious boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
